Russial, (215)897-5622 Notification is hereby provided of FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia's intent to procure thirty-two (32) Belloframe Type 50 Style Air Cylinders (Accumulators), Model No. 341-915-011-000, Internal Part No. 910011000, to be installed on various landing craft air cushion (LCAC), Naval Crafts in support of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard Boston Detachment. These Stainless Steel Body, 100 PSI Max Operation Pressure air cylinders are needed for CRAFTALT 195K, Engine Fuel Simplification Modifications. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one (1) source, Pilgrim Instrument & Controls, Inc., a distributor of Belloframe Corp., under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Belloframe is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). No other air cylinders (accumulators) are compatible to the existing engine fuel system aboard the Landing Craft Air Cushioned (LCAC), Naval Crafts. No other source possesses the technical data required to manufacture these air cylinders (accumulators). Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all proposals received with forty-five (45) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
