The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) has a requirement for flight qualified G-Band beacon equipment consisting of the following items: seven (7) G-Band transponders; seven (7) G-Band variable power dividers; ten (10) G-Band antennas; and three (3) ground planes. All items must be flight qualified in accordance with Military Standards 810, 461, and 462. The transponder must be continuously tunable over the frequency range 5.4 to 5.9 Ghz. The transponder must be capable of responding to either a single or double pulse interrogation signal. The transponder must reply to a single pulse interrogation with a pulse width of .25 to 5.0 microseconds and a rise time of 100 nanoseconds or less. The transponder must reply to a double pulse interrogation with a pulse width of .25 to 1.0 microseconds and a rise time of 100 nanoseconds or less.Transponder power output must be at least 100 watts under all operating conditions as measured at the transponder antenna terminal. The G-Band variable power divider must be tunable over a frequency range of 5.4 to 5.9 Ghz, with impedance of 50 ohms. G-Band antenna and ground plane must be able to be used over the frequency range of 5.4 to 9.6 Ghz, with impedance of 50 ohms. Under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), the AFFTC intends to negotiate an order against Basic Odering Agreement (BOA) F09603-94-G-0046 with Herley Industries, Inc., Lancaster, PA unless responses to this notice reveal additional sources capable of satisfying the requirement. Interested sources must submit clear and convincing documentation to demonstrate their capability to meet the Government's requirement. Delivery to Edwards AFB, CA.
