DUE 053195 POC Alfred Jacobson, Contract Negotiator, (805) 277-3900,
Ext. 2221 Sally Raymond, Contracting Officer, (805) 277-3900, Ext.
2285. The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) has a requirement for
flight qualified G-Band beacon equipment consisting of the following
items: seven (7) G-Band transponders; seven (7) G-Band variable power
dividers; ten (10) G-Band antennas; and three (3) ground planes. All
items must be flight qualified in accordance with Military Standards
810, 461, and 462. The transponder must be continuously tunable over
the frequency range 5.4 to 5.9 Ghz. The transponder must be capable of
responding to either a single or double pulse interrogation signal.
The transponder must reply to a single pulse interrogation with a pulse
width of .25 to 5.0 microseconds and a rise time of 100 nanoseconds or
less. The transponder must reply to a double pulse interrogation with
a pulse width of .25 to 1.0 microseconds and a rise time of 100
nanoseconds or less.Transponder power output must be at least 100 watts
under all operating conditions as measured at the transponder antenna
terminal. The G-Band variable power divider must be tunable over a
frequency range of 5.4 to 5.9 Ghz, with impedance of 50 ohms. G-Band
antenna and ground plane must be able to be used over the frequency
range of 5.4 to 9.6 Ghz, with impedance of 50 ohms. Under the authority
of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), the AFFTC intends to negotiate an order
