The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) has a requirement for scientific, engineering and technical support to resolve problems of electromagnetic environmental effects (E3), including high power microwaves (HPM), electromagnetic pulse (EMP), hazards of electromagnetic radiation (RADHAZ), electrostatic discharge (ESD), lightning, TEMPEST, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and electromagnetic interference (EMI), for radar design and assessment, for software engineering, to enhance and upgrade the performance of search radars and defense systems, and to upgrade radar data distribution and display for non-Naval Tactical Data System (NTDS) systems.
