document TBT/Notification G/95.72 dated 13 March 1995. 1. Member to
agreement notifying: Canada if applicable, name of local government

Agri-Food Canada. 3. Notified under article 2.9.2. 4. Products covered
(HS or CCCN where applicable, otherwise national tariff heading. ICS
numbers may be provided in addition, where applicable): Livestock. 5.
Title and number of pages of the notified document: Proposed amendment
to the livestock carcass grading regulations, pages 479-495. 6.
Description of content: The primary aspects of this amendment are to:
(I) Incorporate the poutry grade standards into the livestock carcass
grading regulations and rename the regulations to the livestock and
poultry carcass grading regulations: (II) Provide for a fully voluntary
poultry carcass grading system by eliminating the current mandatory
grading requirements for the interprovincial. Import or export
movements of poultry carcasses: (III) Retain only the Canada A, Canada
Utility and Canada C grade names with slight modifications to the
grade standards: (IV) Allow opaque packaging for graded or ungraded
poultry: (V) Maintain departmental authority to collect poultry market
statistics from federally and provincially registered establishments:
(VI) Introduce a beneficiary pay system to registered establishments
wishing to apply Canada grade names to poultry carcasses in order to
support the grade monitoring service provided by the department. 7.
