28 -- PROCUREMENT OF ENGINES FOR PIONEER RPV SYSTEM POC Contact, Anna Lisa Wilkinson, Phone (703)604-0903 The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVSYSCOM) has an urgent requirement for additional spare engines for the Pioneer Remotely Piloted Vehicle (RPV) System. To fill this need, NAVAIRSYSCOM intends to procure 150 SF2-350, configuration no. A85-10-3200-003-000 engines from Nurenberger Hercules-Werke FmbH of Nurnberg, Germany. The SF2-350 engine was previously provided by Fichtel Sachs and is the engine currently utilized in the Pioneer RPV system. At the present time, it is the only fully qualified engine capable of meeting the requirements of the Pioneer system within the timeframe required. See note No. 22 - NAVAIR Synopsis No. 70040-95.
