70 -- CONSOLIDATION OF PARALLEL DEVELOPMENTS TO MODULES SOFTWARE POC Point of Contact, Cheryl Miller, 304/480-6465, Contracting Officer, Cynthia Z. Springer, 304/480-6465 Subject to final approval the Bureau of Public Debt intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Legent Corporation, 575 Herndon Parkway, Herndon, VA 22070-5226, for a software package that will allow consolidation of parallel developments to modules controlled by ENDEVOR/MVS for a systems life through September 30, 1998. The software must operate on an AMDAHL 5990 (Models 700-1400) and with ENDEVOR/MVS 3.7. The software shall operate on AMDAHL 5990 series mainframes using the MVS/ESA operating system and logically partitioned under Multiple Domain Facility (MDF); operate in conjunction with ENDEVOR/MVS as well as any partition data set or PANVALET library structures; allow restrictions of abilities via CA-ACF2; provide compares against multiple versions of source codes that are controlled by ENDEVOR/MVS; provide for the automatic integration of multiple versions of source code that are controlled by ENDEVOR/MVS; provide for the ability to resolve conflicts resulting from concurrent development or from applying vendor updates to applications that have been customized in-house; provide automatic creation of final source from edited, integrated changes; provide for the ability to generate standard and customized reports on parallel development activities; provide impact analysis reporting at any phase in the development cycle. All affirmative responses must be in writing, must be accompanied by clear and convincing evidence to clearly show code-compatibility and compliance to the above requirements, and include proof that the product will run on Public Debt's mainframe system without modification. Responses must be received within 15 calendar days after publication of this notice. No solicitation document is available. A request for documentation will not be considered an affirmative response. If no affirmative written response is received, within 15 days after publication of this notice, to the effect that a comparable item is available, and that it is more advantageous to the Government than obtaining this item through a sole-source contract, a sole-source award will be made. Telephonic inquiries will not be accepted. The Government will not be responsible to pay any costs associated with preparing a response to this notice. (0097)
