This is a synopsis of intent to place a delivery order against Digital Equipment Corporation's (DEC) GSA Schedule No. GSOOk95AGS5674 for DEC computer software and hardware maintenance service during the period of 5/1/95 through 4/30/96. Maintenance is to be performed on VMS, All-in-One, DECnet, Fortran and C software and 6320 (2 ea), VAX 4000 and Micro Vax 3100 (2 era) systems. Vendors who can furnish equivalent services will be considered, but only if responding with documentation demonstrating their ability. Written responses must include detailed pricing information, installation plan and capabilities and technical characteristics and performance data. If no affirmatie written responses are received within 30 calendar days after the publication of this synopsis to the effect that a comparable source is availble and that it is more advantageous to the Goverment than procuring from the ADP schedule, an order will be placed with DEC, under their GSA schedule contract. If it is determined that a competitive acquisition may be more advantageous, a formal solicitation will be issued. This is not a RFP nor does the Government intend to pay for any information submitted. No solicitation documents exist. Request for such documents will be considered non-responsive and not valid for further consideration. No contract award will be made on the basis of quotation/proposals or other information received in response to this notice, since a synopsis of intent to place an order against a schedule contract cannot be considered a request for quotation/proposals.
