The project is identified as a cultural resource inventory survey of portions of the Wayne National Forest, Ohio. The project areas are scattered throughout the Athens and Marietta units of the Athens Ranger District and the Ironton Ranger District. The objectives of the project shall be: (1) to locate and identify cultural resources, (2) to provide a complete cultural resource inventory of the area, and (3) to make a preliminary evaluation of significance. To accomplish these objectives, the contractor shall review existing sources of information on cultural resources in the project area, conduct a complete coverage field reconnaissance, analyze the results of this investigation, and prepare a cultural resource report documenting this information.
