The Marine Corps Systems Command intends to award a contract with Litton Data Systems for follow on engineering support and improvements to the Tactical Air Operations Module (TAOM). The Marine Corps is embarking on an enhancement program to address added operational requirements, migration to an open system architecture, and correction of logistically unsupportable high failure items. The enhancements include JTIDS/TADIL-J implementation, adding Theater Missile Defense (TMD) capability, adding CTAPS interface and processing, providing a Sector Anti-Air Warfare Coordinator (SAAWC) Operations Facility (SOF), replacing the Operator Console Units with COTS/GOTS operator workstations, and various related hardware and software modifications. Authority : 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Justification: Supplies or Services required are available from only one or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may indentify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competive proposals. No RFP is available for competitive bidding. However, all proposalsreceived within forty-five days (thirty days if award is under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA)) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
