EPPRIGHT, Phone (703)604-0757 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to
modify Contract N00019-91-C-0096, which is the Fiscal Year 1991
through 1995 cruise missile engine production contract, under the
authority of Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), ''only one responsible
source,'' to Williams International Corporation, 2280 Maple Road, P.O.
Box 200, Walled Lake, Michigan 48390-0200 to add an item for a Product
Improvement Program (PIP) for the demonstration of F107 engine
technology core improvements. Engine demonstration will focus on engine
core efficiency improvements, to include specific fuel consumption and
thrust, as well as compressor rotor and turbine nozzle component
improvements. The estimated value of this procurement will not exceed
$5,000,000. The period of performance is approximately eighteen (18)
months. Williams International is the designer, developer and sole
manufacturer of the F107-WR-402 cruise missile engine and is uniquely
suited to conduct this product improvement program. Any questions from
