The National Biological Service intends to enter into negotiations with Dr. Margaret Thayer to conduct an inventory of scientifc literature describing the taxonomic and nomenclature status of the Coleoptera (beetles) of North Amreica and to develop a database. The database must contain specific information such as: scientific names of species including upper level taxonomy, author and date, source, and usage of the scientific name. Dr. Thayer is a recognized authority on a large group of beetles (Insecta: Coleoptera), see Numbered Note 22. (096)
