The Bureau of Reclamation, Yuma Desalting Plant has a requirement to expand the north end of the existing test train building. Construction will include demolition of concrete; removal and relocation of mechanical and plumbing systems; earthwork; concrete work for foundations; removing and relocating the existing north endwall; furnishing and installing three intermediate preengineered metal building frames to match existing; furnishing and installing insulated metal wall and roof panels to match existing; furnishing and installing three electrically operated telescoping doors; electrical and lighting systems; interior shell for new laboratory; painting and miscellaneous metals required to provide a complete water tight building expansion. The estimated cost range of this project is $250,000 to $500,000. The location of this project is Yuma, Yuma County, Arizona. The performance time for completion of this project is 280 calendar days. The presolicitation notice (SF-1417) for this project is currently available. The solicitation is a total labor surplus area set-aside. For this acquisition the Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1542 and the small business size standard is $17.0 million. The estimated issuance date of the solicitation is May 9, 1995. The estimated date for receipt of bids is June 8, 1995.
