Pre-Solicitation Synopsis - This work includes provision of necessary labor, transportation, materials, supplies, equipment, and supervision for the building alterations including demolition and removal of work; replacement of suspended ceiling, walls, floor covering and finishes; doors, hardware and building access; replacement of lights; electrical power wiring; installation of telephone and data outlets, receptacles and fire alarm devices and wiring; replacement of plumbing fixtures ad domestic water service; replacement of chilled water and HVAC system; installation of pumps, piping, ductwork, air handlers, chiller, fan coils and controls,; and incidental related work at the Crane Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, IN. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) for this procurement is 1541 and the size standard is 17 million. Completion time is 270 days after award. Estimated value is between $500,000.00-1,000,000.00. This procurement is being considered for 100% set-aside for small disadvantaged business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should notify Debbie Dills, Small Business Specialist, as early as possible, but no later than 15 days from date of this notice. Indicate interest in the acquisition in writing by providing to the contracting office above a positive statement of your intent to bid. You must also provide evidence of capability to perform including a reference for prior contract work of similar size and complexity and a positive statement of eligibility as a small, socially and economically disadvantaged business concern. You also need to furnish a letter from your bonding company indicating their intent to provide the necessary bonding for performing this contract and a bank reference including a point of contact. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be advertised and issued as an unrestricted procurement without further notice. Therefore, replies to this office are requested from all interested business concerns as well as SDB concerns. There is no charge for plans and specifications.
