Furnish all labor, material and equipment necessary to renovate Ward 4-S at the VA Medical Center, West Roxbury into an 8-bed critical care unit. Work consists of general construction for renovations and alterations. Work includes but is not limited to asbestos abatement, removal of interior partitions, ceiling, flooring, doors, frames, finishes, plumbing fixtures, mechanical and electrical work along with other items of demolition and removal. Work also includes construction of new partitions, doors, frames, finishes, ceilings, plumbing fixtures, piping, nurse call system installation, electrical systems, oxygen distribution system and other items of general construction associated with critical care unit. Estimated cost: $500,000 - $1,000,000. Completion time: 180 calendar days. Award to be made pursuant to the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program.
