(703)604-6100 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to conduct a full
and open competition for the procurement of AN/AAR-47 Missile Warning
Sets and related support services. The procurement will include a
requirement for 179 systems in the basic contract, and three production
options for up to 150, 400 and 400 systems respectively, to be built in
accordance with the validated Level III technical data package. The
procurement will also provide for up to 10,000 hours of related support
services during a base year and each of three additional option years.
Due to the classified nature of the RFP, requests must include the
information necessary to transfer ''SECRET'' level classified
information. Security Clearances must be sent to Vivien Tran (PMA-272)
at telephone (703)604-2860, Ext. 8754, FAX (703)604-2405. In addition,
a written request for the draft RFP must be immediately mailed or hand
carried to the Naval Air Systems Command, Attn: Joan M. Koeppe (AIR
2.2.2.1), 1421 Jefferson Davis Highway, JP Bldg #1 Room 176, Arlington,
VA 22243-5120. Requests for the RFP shall include a check for $2,000.00
made out to the ''U.S. Treasury'' for the AN/AAR-47 Level III techncial
data package. Requests for the draft RFP will not be honored without
the check made in the correct amount, however, firms interested in
subcontract opportunities may request a copy of the prospective bidders
list at no charge and view the technical data package at the Naval
Research Laboratory (NRL) technical library in Washington, D.C. The NRL

Based on current Navy plans the RFP and Level III technical data
package will be released as a ''draft'' for a period of three weeks and
be available for pickup or mailing on 28 April 1995. The unclassified
portion will be available at Room 176 of Jefferson Plazza Building #1
at the mailing address above. The classified portion will be available
at Room 240 of Jefferson Plaza Building #2. Contractor comments on the
draft solicitation are requested and may be used in the formal RFP. A
pre-solicitation conference has been tentatively scheduled for 25 May
1995 and the proposal due date is currently scheduled for 30 June 1995.
The single Government point-of-contact for this program is Ms. Joan M.
Koeppe. Security Clearance must be verified by Ms. Koeppe,

the RFP. All future inquiries concerning ths procurement must be
directed to her the above number. Vendors should contact Ms. Koeppe on
25 or 26 April 1995 to confirm solicitation availability on 28 April
