35 -- RUBBER MOUNTED DRILL JUMBO Contact Gail Sudul, Purchasing Agent, 702/295-1393. Reynolds Electrical & Engineering Co., Inc. (REECo), prime management and operations contractor to the Nevada Operations Office of the U.S. Department of Energy, seeks to identify qualified sources for a rail mounted drill jumbo. As a minimum, the drill jumbo shall be equipped with one boom mounted electric/hydraulic rock drill assembly and one boom mounted personnel basket to be used for drilling blast rounds and pin holes for utility hangers, rockbolting, etc. The overall width of the unit shall not exceed 44 inches. The rock drill shall be a minimum 7.5kW (10 hp) equipped with an air/mist type flushing system and water booster. The drill feed shall allow for single pass drilling a minimum of 10.5 ft borehole. The operator's canopy shall be FOPS certified and the unit shall be equipped with an automatic fire suppression system and configured to allow for a single operator. Qualified sources must also provide information explaining follow-on maintenance and support. We contemplate that this acquisition would be set-aside to small businesses who employ 750 employees or less.
