35 -- RUBBER TIRED DRILL JUMBO Contact, Gail Sudul, Purchasing Agent, 702/295-1393. Reynolds Electrical & Engineering Co., Inc., (REECo), prime management and operations contractor to the Nevada Operations Office of the U.S. Department of Energy, seeks to identify qualified sources for a standard commercial production rubber tired, diesel powered drill jumbo. As a minimum the unit shall be equipped with a boom mounted electric/hydraulic rock drill assemblies and personnel basket to be used for drilling blast rounds when excavating alcoves and niches on a tunnel project. The unit shall be configured to provide drilling coverage over a 7m x 7m horshoe shaped area (approximately 23 ft x 23 ft). The rock drill shall be a minimum 12kW equipped with an air/mist type flushing system and water booster. The drill feed shall accommodate a 12 ft drill steel and allow for single pass drilling a minimum of 10.5 ft borehole. The operator's canopy shall be FOPS certified. The unit shall be equipped within an automatic fire suppression system. Qualified sources must also provide information explaining follow-on maintenance and support. We contemplate that this acquisition would be set-aside to small businesses who employ 750 employees or less.
