35 -- RAIL MOUNTED SCISSOR LIFT PLATFORM CARS Contact, Gail Sudul, Purchasing Agent, 702/295-1393. Reynolds Electrical & Engineering Co., Inc., (REECo), prime management and operations contractor to the Nevada Operations Office of the U.S. Department of Energy, seeks to identify qualified sources for two rail mounted scissor lift platform cars. Each car shall be equipped with a scissor lift arrangement and working platform to be used for installing and removing ventilation duct and fans on a tunnel project. The largest ventilation assembly to be handled is approximately 69 inches in diameter and 40 feet in length with a weight of approximately 12,000 lbs. The unit shall be capable of lifting the ventilation assembly a minimum of 15 feet above the top rail. Each car shall have an overall width not exceeding 55 inches and be equipped with rail grippers, air brakes and 14-inch diameter standard wheels. Qualified sources must also provide information explaining follow-on maintenance and support. We contemplate that this acquisition will be set-aside to small businesses who employ 750 employees or less.
