The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) has a requirement for scientific, engineering technical, and analytical support for a wide range of research activities. The work will be done primarily on-site at NRL. The contractor shall perform research in the following areas: Voice/Data Integration Speech Processing in Radio Networks, the Management, Use, and Application of High Performance Networks, the organization, management and application of high performance computing systems including massively parallel processors, the development and management of information and entities in distributed simulation systems, development and integration of decision support systems, development of sensor systems and their operation for robotics, development of secure information systems including multi-level secure databases, development in parallel processing applications, development of virtual environments, development of communication systems, certification and INFOSEC engineering, design and development of software engineering methods, development of audio/visual materials and aids, maintenance of computational facilities, development in transmission technology, development in the area of visual programming for signal processing and Command and control applications, and development of heterogenous, parallel, and distributed database methods. The period of performance is for three years. The total level of effort is 289,500 labor hours. The proposed contract listed here is unrestricted.
