The Kansas Air National Guard, Forbes Field, Topeka, Kansas requires Type ``A''; site investigation, Type ``B''; plans, specifications, and cost estimates, Type ``C''; construction surveillance Architect and Engineering Services for the design of a 23,200 SF facility. The facility will contain administrative areas, training area, medical examination rooms, communication equipment operations and maintenance areas. Project includes all site improvements and utility work necessary to provide a complete facility. The project also involves the remodeling of 18,000 SF of existing facilities to accept a new administrative training, and storage functions. The estimated construction cost of this facility is between $1 and $5 million. Selection criteria in descending order of importance are: (1) Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of required services (ie. architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical); (2) Specialized experience and technical competence in this type of work; (3) capacity to accomplish the work in required time (Type A and B Services complete within six months) (4) Past performance on contracts with Government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance schedules; (5) Location in the general geographical area of the project; (6) Volume of DOD work performed within the previous 12 months in an effort to provide a equitable distribution of work among qualified A/E firms (this information should be noted in block 9 of the SF 254). Responsible qualified firms desiring consideration must submit an SF 254 and SF 255 for principle A/E and SF 254 for all consultants to the U.S. Property and Fiscal Office for Kansas, 2737 S.
