Kay, Contracting Officer Provide and install festoon wiring systems on bridge cranes located at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. Systems must meet all applicable safety requirements (e.g., OSHA, NEC). Work to include removal of the existing power system. Contractor must ensure that the system to be installed does not interfere with any surrounding structures or equipment. A site visit will be required since offeror must submit a crane festoon design layout for each crane with their proposal. Approval of design required prior to award. Design attributes to be reviewed are: Conductors - insulation, size, and type; festoon trolley subassembly; festoon trolley support system; conductor support; supports (to bridge structure). Tie in of the conductors to trolley: Trolley push/pull arm and supports. It is estimated that five (5) systems will be provided. 2 systems required in FY95 and 3 systems required in FY96. Crane Specificatons: Main HP, 30-35, Aux. HP (1 each), Trolley HP, 5-15. Spans: 36' 3-1/2'', 40', 65', 92' 8'' (2 each). Power Supply: 220 VAC, 3 phase, 250 VDC (4 each). Delivery to be f.o.b. destination (Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard), with installation to be complete within 14 days after removal of existing wiring system by contractor.
