Cleveland, Contracting Officer, (404) 305-5792 One or more Architect/Engineering (A/E) Service Contract(s) for the FederalAviation Administration Southern Region, Atlanta, Georgia. A/E Service Contract(s) will be specifically for asbestos testing, sampling and monitoring at various locations throughout eight states, Puerto Rico, The Republic of Panama, and the Virgin Islands. These eight states consist of Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and Florida. The contract shall not exceed $500,000. over a one-year period. Selection of the A/E firm will be based on the following technical criteria which are numbered in the order of relative importance: (1)(A) Experience: The number of years in abatement work, number of asbestos abatement projects completed, number of surveys and assessments completed, number of abatement construction monitoring projects performed, complexity and size of asbestos abatement projects, degree of decontamination achieved, and a list of analyticallaboratories used. (1)(B) Leadership presentations made in professional and trade organizations, articles published on asbestos abatement in trade magazines. (1)(C) Experience of key personnel which will be assigned to our requirements. (2)(A) CIH: Number and name of special asbestos training courses successfully completed, number of training courses for contractors participated in, and number of IH and Technicians supervised. (2)(B) Industrial Hygiene Technician: Number and kind of asbestos training courses successfully completed,number of projects where continuous monitoring and evaluation of abatement work was performed, number of projects participated in within an occupied facility, and other evidence of asbestos abatement experience and expertise. (2)(C) Numberand kind of asbestos training courses successfully completed, number of projectsperformed air samples analysis, and number of projects participated in requiringonsite/short turn-around analysis of samples. (2)(D) Ability and experience working with Architect/Engineering and other clients as evidenced by the number and complexity of projects in which the respondent has worked as consultant to A/E's. Ability to successfully assess, design, abate construction, monitor, conduct final inspection, and decontamination testing. Request that a narrative statement, supplementing SF-254's and SF-255's (both dated and signed by an officer of the firm within the past twelve months), be provided which specifically, and separately address the firm's special qualifications and evaluation factors as listed above.
