The 7th Annual Navy Gold Coast Small Business Procurement Opportunity Conference will be held on May 2, 1995 at the Holiday Inn Ventura Beach Resort Hotel. The conference host is the Naval Construction Battalion Center, Port Hueneme, California. It is cosponsored by the Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake/Point Mugu and the Port Hueneme Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center. The conference will run from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Representatives of major Navy, Air Force, Army, DOD, Federal, Civilian Agency and Commercial Contractors buying activities will be brought together with business concerns interested in selling their products and services to the Government and prime contractors. Special speakers will be Mr. Joseph Horvath, Deputy Director, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, Office of the Secretary of the Navy and Mr. Stanley Jones, Naval Supply Systems Command, Office of Procurement Automation. In addition to individual counseling and the guest speakers, the Department of Defense Regional Council for Small Business Education and Advocacy will conduct training seminars during the day long conference which are designed to aid firms in conducting business with the Government. Seminars include the subjects ``How to Submit a Winning Bid or Proposal''; ``Government Bank Card Program Update''; and ``Subcontract Perspectives''.
