PRESOLICITATION NOTICE - The work includes construction of concrete ductbanks with all manholes, handholes and consuits to support the communication and electrical system at the air station. Airfield lighting cables and 15kV power cables will be provided for reconnection to all existing air field lighting equipment and three incoming primary services. The communication/electrical ductbank will be routed south of the air station parallell to Vandergrift Boulevard, and interconnected from the east to west via a manhole system. The airfield lighting ductbank will begin at the airfield lighting vault and routed around the runway. The weather and radar ductbank will be routed from the control tower and terminated at its respective equipment in the for future reconnection. The proposed electrical system will be a looped primary distribution system with nine interconnecting sectionalizing switches for quick isolation fault and restoration of primary service complete and ready for use.--The estimated cost is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.--Firm Fixed Price Contract.--Contract duration is approximately 270 calendar days.--This proposed contract will be unrestricted.--The Standard Industrial Code is 1731 and the annual size standard is $7 million. It is recommended the subcontracting goals reflect a minimum goal of 5% for Small Disadvantaged Business Subcontracting effort.
