The work will include the following: (Approx. quantities) The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, and equipment and performing all work to complete dredging of 73,000 CY of materials from the upstream of the spillway structure and disposing of the dredged material in a containment area located 3,500 feet away. A 133,000 SY containment area shall be constructed consisting of 6,200 LF of earthen dikes. Material for the dikes will be taken from within the containment area and/or from a nearby borrow source. To facilitate drainage of the containment area, (3) three, 24-inch CMP culverts will be installed beneath the dike, the adjacent roadway, and at the outlet of the discharge channel with lengths of 50 LF, 150 LF, and 40 LF respectfully. The discharge channel to be constructed between the containment area and spillway channel will have a length of 680 LF. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Contractor's Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 90 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bid sets will be available on/a 01 May 1995. Half-size plans and specifications will be furnished upon request and receipt of payment of $10.00 per set (non-refundable) with check made payable to ''Omaha District, Corps of Engineers.''
