Total quantity of 28 AH-64A helicopters (12 to Egypt with an option of 16 to Kuwait) with related support. It is the intent of the Government to procure these requirements under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). This is a follow-on contract for the continued development and production of a major system and is deemed to be available only from the original source (Reference FAR 6.302-1). The original developer and manufacturer is McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems, 5000 East McDowell Road, Mesa, Arizona 85205-9797. This procurement requires pre-qualification. Contractors who desire to be pre-qualified must submit qualification documentation IAW the Competition Advocate's Shopping List (CASL) procedures.
