Russial, (215)897-5508 This Command intends to acquire the following equipment from Brown University, Department of Psychology for the FY-95 Base Enhancement Project entitled, ''Simultaneous and Successive Color Contrast: Investigation of the Red-Green and Blue-Yellow Systems and Refinement of the Opponent Model'': one (1) each Four-Channel Maxwellian-View Optical Stimulator and Lease of three (3) each, Bausch and Lomb Monochromators. Items shall be shipped to the Naval Submarine Medical Research Laboratory, Groton, CT. At this time, required delivery is scheduled for 1 June 1995. This proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Brown University, Department of Psychology under authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all proposals received within 45 days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government WILL NOT PAY for information received. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification Number is 7359.
