Item 0001: Wavelan PC Network Interface Card (NIC), PC ISA bus using spread spectrum technology, includes omnidirectional antenna. DEC PN DEIWA or equal (119 ea); Item 0002: Roamabout access point, standalone wireless to wired bridge for connectivity to wired network for portable devices with PCMCIA socket. Includes power supply and accessory kit. DEC PN DEIAF or equal (48 ea); Item 0003: Roamabout Network Adapter to be used with portable devices or roamabout access point, includes omnidirectional antenna, DEC PN DEINA or equal (48 ea). Shall include all software licenses, media, documentation and warranty. Items shall comply with the following salient characteristics: Support direct sequence spread spectrum technoligy if RF technology, roaming capability between wireless to wired bridges, end user device roaming across subnets, be NDIS compliant, utilize RF or microwave technology, minimum wireless throughput of 1Mbps, minimum 500 feet radius for omni-directional communication, utilize Carrier Sense Multiple Access/Collision Avoidance (CSMA/CA), utilize Carrier Sense Multiple Access/Collision Detection (CSMD/CD), and be IEEE 802.3 Compliant.
