Contact D.H. Ferguson - Contract Administrator (518) 395-4549. Knolls
Atomic Power Laboratory (KAPL) intends to purchaSe 45 graphics
workstations. The workstations must inclue a native UNIX operating
system and support for baseband ethernet networks using TCP/IP
protocol. The workstations must have minimum CPU performance of 125
SPECint92 and 125 SPECfp92. The required workstations will include a
mix of units having medium and high performance 3D graphics
capabilities. Medium and high performance workstation graphics
requirements for Gouaud-shaded, lighted, z-buffered meshed triangles
are 150,000 and 300,000 traingles per second (minimum), repectively.
Conformance with these requirements will be evlaluaged using KAPL
benchmark programs. Minimum workstation hardware requirements include
128 MB memory and 2 gigabytes (GB) of disk capacity. The graphics
subsystems must include a color monitor (minimum 19'', maximum 21''),
24 bit-planes for storing color information, 1 24 bit Z-buffer, double
buffering, and minimum monitor screen resolution of 1280 x 1024
