The gloves shall be manufactured for assigned cadets in accordance with USAF Academy purchase description 34 LGQ 176, which will be provided with the solicitation. The fabric shall be 100% preshrunk cotton, 9.5 oz per sq yard. All fabric components shall be good color-fastness with the ability to withstand bleaching and washing temperatures of approximately 125 degrees. The design shall be wrist length with three beads on back of hand approximately 3 inches long for both men and women. The gloves shall have elastic strip 3/8 inch wide by 2 inches long, sewn zig-zag at center wrist palm 1 and 3/4 inches from wrist edge. The Government anticipates awarding a firm fixed-price requirements contract with three, one-year options. Estimated annual quantity for men's gloves: 5508 pair. Estimated annual quantity for women's gloves: 780 pair. Both quantities include fill-in orders, if required. Exact quantity and sizes will be provided no later than 30 Nov of each year by delivery order. Delivery for fill-in orders shall be 60 days after receipt of order. A first article will be required.
