R -- TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR CONDOMINIUM MANAGEMENT, PROPERTY MANAGEMENT, AND ASSET MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT TRAINING SOL RFP No. IAC-6283-95 DUE 043095 POC Chito Padilla, Administrative Director, 202/265-5059 The Urban Institute (UI) is soliciting proposals from potential subcontractors to provide technical assistance services relating to the privatization of housing, the development of a private housing market, and the management of housing by resident owners and local governments in the former socialist republics of Eastern Europe. the prospective subcontract will assist in: (1) preparing training materials and curricula, (2) setting up owners' associations, (3) conducting condominium management training, (4) conducting asset management training, (5) setting up property/asset management firms, and (6) assessing housing conditions. This work will be performed under contract wi the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) with contract funds provided by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). UI contemplates award of an indefinite quantity subcontract with cost reimbursement plus fixed fee task orders. The initial period of performance will be for 11 months which may require up to a maximum of 24 person months of effort; an option to extend for another 12 months is anticipated for up to an additional 12 person months of effort. However, the inclusion of provisions for an option shall not obligate UI to exercise the option.
