MK-Ferguson is a prime contractor to the Department of Energy (DOE) operations at Oak Ridge, TN. There is an anticipated requirement for construction of the Melton Valley Storage Tank Capacity Increase Project at the DOE Oak Ridge National Laboratory. The Melton Valley Storage Tank Capacity Increase Project includes installation of a reinforced concrete vault facility housing six 100,000 gallon stainless steel storage tanks, associated piping, ventilation and control. Each tank is located in an individual stainless steel lined vault. The tanks will be procured under another subcontract and be furnished to the subcontractor to be set in place under this activity. An adjacent Pump and Valve Vault will house most process mechanical equipment. A control room will provide for on-site control and interfacing with central control. Utilities and services to be installed at the facility include fire and service water, instrument, air, fire alarm, voice/data communication, and electrical power. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1541. The magnitude of cost is $5 - 10 Million. Potential bidders must submit the following pre-qualification information in order to be considered eligible to receive a solicitation package: (1) A synopsis of your firm's three (3) largest construction projects which demonstrate experience with similar facilities, including each client's project manager, point of contact and telephone number(s); (2) a copy of your firm's environmental, safety and health program including a letter from your insurer certifying your firm's Experience Modification Rate (EMR) over the past three (3) years, and a composite summary of your firms' OSHA 200 Logs calculated average annual lost-time and recordable injury rate over the last three (3) years; (3) Proof of financial responsibility to perform a subcontract of this size including bonding capacities and audited financial statements or annual reports. MK-Ferguson maintains the right to determine pre-qualified bidders based upon the criteria. Interested and capable firms are requested to submit the above pre-qualification criteria to: R. A.
