The principal components of the work to be performed under these specifications include: Restoration of a 287 foot dike, top width 16 feet, height 11 feet with 4:1 upstream and downstream sideslopes at the old Winkler Damsite; consruction of a 269 foot dike, top width 15 feet, height 9 feet with 4:1 sideslopes, upstream of the old Winkler Damsite; and excavation of three stockponds. The estimated price range of the work is $25,001 to $100,000. The work is located approximately 12 miles east of Onida, South Dakota, in Sully County. Solicitation packages will be available approximately May 5, 1995. Bid opening is tentatively scheduled for 10 a.m., June 20, 1995 at the Bureau of Reclamation, Dakotas Area Office, 304 East Broadway, Bismarck, North Dakota. The contract must be completed no later than 60 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation; additional copies will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $5.00 for each copy. After issuance, the solicitation may be viewed, without charge, at the following offices of the Bureau of Reclamation: Dakotas Area Office, 304 East Broadway, Bismarck, North Dakota; or the Great Plains Regional Office, Federal Building, Room 2031, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. All sources responding to this synopsis shall submit information relating to business status, including identification as to whether small, large, minority-owned and/or woman-owned. For this acquisition, the small business size standard is $17,000,000 and the standard industrial classification code is 1629.
