equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to demolish and
remove 830 lf of chain link fence. Provide 1300 lf new chain link fence
with concrete footings. Provide cantilever slide gate approx 22' long
and 7' high with slide motor operator. Provide key car system, intercom
w/buzzer, personnel button, video camera and car detector for new gate.
Approx 1500 sf of small trees/shrubs and 500 sf of tall grass will need
to be removed to install fence. Performance time: 60 days. Estimated
cost of this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00.
Solicitation packages to be available on or about May 4, 1995. THERE IS
A $20.00 NON-REFUNDABLE CHARGE for the bid package which may be

opening date to be on or about June 6, 1995. This procurement is being
issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration
program and is open for bidding to both small and large business
concerns. THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS PROVIDED FOR MINORITY, WOMAN
OWNED, AND DISADVANTAGED ENTERPRISES: The Department of Transportation
(DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Utilization (OSDBU), has
programs to assist minority, woman-owned, and disadvantaged business
enterprises to acquire short term working capital and bonding
assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to
any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding
Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and
performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an
80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are
also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at
prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The
maximum line of credit is $500,000. For further information regarding
