RFP-33-95-HHS-OS POC Contact Point, Arthur L. Storey, (202)690-5547 The
Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Secretary (OS)
has a requirement for Network/Personal Computer Support (NPCS)
Services. Under this procurement, the OS will procure ADP support
services which will include a full range of WAN/LAN and Personal
Computer support services. The support services which will be procured
under the NPCS are: (1) Central Network Management, this includes:
management support; cabling and documentation; configuration
management; software maintenance; testing and development of
applications software and hardware; maintain core applications from the
NOS vendor and core off-the-shelf commercial office automation
packages; telecommunications planning, implementation and monitoring;
and preventive maintenance and repairs to the network systems and
peripherals systems; (2) Technical Support Services, these services are
in support of the ten OS staff divisions and the Administration on
Aging, they include duties that normally would be required by a local
group administrator, such as adding and deleting users; managing the
local group print services; managing the local file servers; on-site
LAN administration; training; PC hardware/software support; preventive
maintenance and repair support as necessary; (3) PC Hardware
Maintenance, this consists of per-call (time and materials) hardware
and software maintenance and repair services for PC desktop workstation
hardware and associated peripherals; (4) Network Studies, which
includes studies and support for pilot projects to expand or enhance
network services covering areas such as networking protocols,
interconnectivity and wide-area networking; (5) Maintain Banyan
software licenses and communicate problems and enhancements with Banyan
technical support regarding network operating system; and (6) Maintain
licensing agreements for network-wide applications such as, but not
limited to: McAfee virus scanning, TCP/IP, NetPro, PC ScanMaster and
File Service ScanMaster, MailPro, Reach-Out Asynchronous
communications, IP routing software, and Net Census. The period of
performance will be for a basic year with options for two additional
years. This is a 100% small business set-aside. The standard industrial
classification code for this acquisition is: 7379. RFP-33-95- HHS-OS
will be issued on or about May 1, 1995. All responsible qualified
sources may submit a proposal. Request for the RFP must be in writing.
