F -- EX-SITU BIOLOGICAL REMEDIATION OF APPROXIMATELY 4,000 CUBIC YA RDS OF SOIL SOL F40650-95-B-0052 DUE 060295 POC Tony Clayborne, Contracting Officer, (615)454-5174. This requirement is for ex-situ biological treatment of approximately 4,000 cubic yards of soil at Site SS-22 at Arnold Air Station, Tennessee. The site consists of silty, sandy clay soil contaminated with JP-8 fuel. Known concentrations for contaminants are approximately 500 parts per million (ppm) for total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH) and 10.0 ppm or less for Benzene, Toluene, Ethyl Benzene and Xylene (BTEX). Biological treatment shall reduce contaminant levels to (10.0 ppm TPH Diesel Range Organics (DRO) and (1.0 ppm Gasoline Range Organics (GRO) within the specified time of performance. The contract performance period will be 180 calendar days after issuance of notice to proceed. The total treatment time for soil shall be limited to 90 calendar days from the date of excavation. The estimated magnitude is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Any responsible source may submit a bid which shall be considered.
