The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWPNS) Point Mugu, CA intends to issue a solicitation for on-site maintenance, both labor and parts, preventive and remedial maintenance, and per-call maintenance on 2 each Government owned CYBER computer systems located at NAWCWPNS Point Mugu. The CYBER equipment was originally purchased as CYBER models 175-208 and were upgraded in 1992 with QSE-36600. Even though the computers still have the original serial numbers, they now have the performance, specification, memory size, hardware, software capabilities and limitations, and characteristics of a CYBER model 875. Equipment will be maintained to the recommendations of the Original Equipment Manufacturer. Under on-call maintenance coverage, the Contractor shall assign maintenance engineers(s) to the site during the Principal Period of Maintenance (PPM), 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, Monday through Friday excluding legal holidays. Maintenance engineer(s) shall consider the site at NAWCWPNS Point Mugu as their primary duty station but shall not be required to be on-site during the entire PPM period. On-call maintenance service is required within a 2 hour response time during the PPM - 7:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Per-call service is required with a 4 hour response time outside of the PPM. Preventive maintenance shall be provided at a time other than the Government's prime shift working hours, unless otherwise specified by the Government. The contract will be for one year, beginning on or about 1 June 1995, with a one year option. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered.
