Request for Information regarding chaff countermeasure units for ALE40/47 Dispenser Assemblies. Information is sought on off-the-shelf units capable of both (a) incrasing the capacity of existing chaff dispensers for USAF Special Operations aircraft (AC/MC/HC-130, MH-53, CV-22) and (b) permitting faster reloading of dispensers. Unit cost and availability is requested along with system descriptions and comprehensive test data relevant to airborne applications. Qualifying systems are expected to be comparatively evaluated against existing chaff units to permit potential procurement decisions. Responses to this synopsis should be received within 30 days from date of publication. This Request For Information (RFI) is for planning pusposes only and does not constitute an Invitation For Bid (IFB) or a Request For Proposal (RFP), and is not to be constructed as a commitment by the Government.
