70 -- INTERACTIVE SWITCH PATCH PANEL EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE SOL 6758 POC Kenton D. Jenkins, Contracting Officer, 202-324-5725. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has a requirement to acquire interactive switch panel equipment to support the centralized network troubleshooting and maintenance control of the Integrated Digital Communications System (IDCS)--The mandatory specifications are as follows: Provide testing and passive monitoring for data circuits using the following interfaces: RS-232, RS-530 (using RS-449 electrical specifications), and V.35; patch panel control software must be compatible and functionable with the Fireberd Distributed Test Manager hardware and software; mountable in a standard 19 inch communications rack; 110 vac; display a front and rear view of the patch panel; provide the ability to monitor and configure all used signal leads to produce an alarm condition under predefined conditions; provide the ability to control a remotely located chassis via a communications circuit; provide a software package running under Hewlett Packard (HP) Open View for SNMP Network management (the hardware will utilize an SNMP Agent for interactive management to monitor and configure hardware); provide the ability to manually patch and switch circuits in the event of a power loss; provide interactive testing and non-obstusive monitoring of circuits; provide separation between Frame Ground and Signal Ground; maintain and display an Alarm Event log; display pin transition leads; provide push button lamp test for all lamps in the chassis; provide multi-level password protection; have multi-terminal network control capability; provide front panel patching access; provide redundant power supplies, provide LED indicators for TD, RD, CD, RTS, and DTR; provide the capability to test towards a DCE and DTE; provide Flash EPROM memory to facilitate future enhancements; permit the combination of different interfaces located in the same chassis; provide Contractor off-site telephonic support 8AM - 5PM EST, Monday through Friday; and provide a minimum five (5) year warranty for each patch panel and associated hardware--A firm-fixed price indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract is contemplated--The contract will be for the base year and four (4) option years--Requests for the solicitation must be submitted in writing within fifteen (15) calander days of publication of this synopsis either mailed or faxed, (202) 324-6641, to the POC listed above--Telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
