Kerr Environmental Research Laboratory in Ada, OK has a contractual need for a fifth wheel trailer that will be equipped to serve as a mobile field laboratory. The mobile laboratory will be used by research scientists to analyze samples at hazardous waste sites throughout the continental United States. The mobile laboratory will support the Laboratory's research mission in subsurface and groundwater investigations. The trailer shall be approximately 8 ft. wide by 24 ft. long plus an 8 ft. fifith wheel and the interior 90'' high. The mobile laboratory shall be self sustaining in order to accomodate research activities in remote areas. The mobile laboratory shall be equipped as follows: cabinets with tracks for securing instruments; solvent and chemical resistant counter surfaces; a 4 ft. fume hood; two air conditioners and heaters; a double sink; lighting; two 12kw propane driven generators; freezer; refrigerator; vacuum pump; and air compressor. Many other features are specified to satisfy the needs of this mobile laboratory for research in remote areas. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated. No telephonic requests will be honored.
