(201)724-6630. The Army has a need to upgrade its conventional (dumb)
155mm projectile inventory (ie. M483, M864, M107, etc.) with effective
direct fire, competent, 155mm projectiles that utilize a projectile
fuze well inserted modular device. This low cost modular projectile
fuze well modification should be capable of successful operation in
virtually all types of battlefield environments -- weather, dust smoke,
etc. The control and fuzing system (s) must be effective when
confronted by the most operationally likely enemy countermeasures, and
be capable of delivering the projectile cargo to target areas with
enhanced delivery accuracy resulting in a minimum effectiveness of six
(6) times, or greater than, that of the M864, DPICM, projectile.
Solicitations will be issued O\A 02 May 95, with a closing date O\A 02
June 95. No telephone requests for a solicitation package will be
