COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF APRIL 17, 1995 PSA#1326FORCE XXI SYMPOSIUM MAY 15-16, 1995 The Fort Monmouth Chapter of the
AUSA will hold its Fifth Bi-Annual Symposium 15-16 May, 1995 at the
Long Branch Hilton. Our theme this year is ``Force XXI.'' There will be
three sessions: ``Communications Environment for Force XXI,''
``Material Developer Challenges'' and ``Industry's Challenge.'' Force
XXI will be a force organized around information and information
technology. AUSA's Institute of Land Warfare has defined the challenge
to the Force XXI Commander as responding to change. Technological
superiority on the battlefield is the exploitation of real-time force
projection information by field commanders who can utilize this
information to out-maneuver, out-shoot and out think the enemy. The
Force XXI Commander must be a master in demonstrating the skill to
customize precise digitized information. This year our Symposium will
bring together the Army's leadership, focusing on analyzing the
requirements; developing doctrine, training equipment, and logistics
support. Therefore, Force XXI is the reconceptualization and redesign
of the force at all echelons. This challenge is a perfect precursor to
the CECOM hosted Advance Planning Briefing for Industry (APBI); which
immediately follows our symposium. The APBI will address the C4IEW
systems that play a major role in meeting the goal of fielding a
lethal, digitized land force with the operational versatility to
respond to a wide range of crises and opposing forces. For additional
information and to register for the AUSA Symposium, contact Symposium
