dredging at Honga River and Tar Bay, Dorchester County, Maryland. Est
cost is between $250,000 and $500,000. Completion no later than 60
calendar days. Construction consists of maintenance hydraulic dredging
of a Federal navigation channel 7 feet deep and 60 feet wide at Honga
River and Tar Bay, Dorchester County, and creation of a wetland at
Barren Island behind geotextile tubes. Maintenance dredging of Federal
navigation channel using a hydraulic pipeline dredge. Approximately
80,000 cubic yards of dredge material to a depth of 7 feet plus 2 feet
of per depth will be removed and placed behind offshore segmented
breakwaters constructed by geotubes. After placement of material a
wetland will be planted. The geotubes will be placed by the contractor.
