Z -- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE - REPLACE SWITCHGEAR, BLDG 1325, BOCA CHICA FIELD, KEY WEST, FLORIDA Sol N62467-94-B-2775. Due 062795. Project consists of installation of new 15 kV outdoor protected aisle switchgear and voltage regulator by-pass switchgear to replace existing main switchgear located in Building 1325. Scope shall include relocation of an existing voltage regulator, existing pad mounted vacuum switch and demolition of existing switchgear. Project shall include construction of approximately 2350 feet of concrete encased underground duct bank, 6500 circuit feet of 13.8 kV, 3 phase feeders and splicing in existing manholes to refeed existing distribution system. Tentative issue date of solicitation is 5 June 1995. Bid opening date is approximate. The estimated cost range for this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. SIC Code is 1731. The related small business standard is $7,000,000. Period of performance is 290 calendar days from date of award. The resulting contract will be a lump sum firm fixed price contract. This procurement is being considered for 100 percent set-aside for small disadvantaged business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should, as early as possible but not later than 15 days of this notice, indicate interest in the procurement by providing to the contracting office above: evidence of capability to perform (including references for similar work with telephone numbers, points of contact, and contract numbers), statement indicating bonding capability and a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern. If the procurement is set-aside for SDB concerns, plans and specifications will be issued to SDB concerns only. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, plans and specifications will be issued to SDB concerns only. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued as full and open competition (unrestricted) without further notice. Therefore, replies to this notice are requested from all business concerns as well as SDB concerns. Written requests shall include business size (i.e. large, small, small-disadvantaged) and may be submitted to the above address or by FAX to (305) 293-2631. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Availability of the solicitation is limited to one set per contractor and will be furnished on a first come, first served basis.
