The work includes total interior renovation of portions of 3 floors of ''Building 601'', a six-story concrete frame building and incidental related work. Demolition of existing interior construction includes partitions, finishes, ceilings, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. New interior construction for office and related uses includes new central plant and mechanical, new stair well for 6 floors, electrical, and plumbing systems. In addition to offices are toilets, locker rooms, theater, armory, vault, and darkroom. Exterior work includes new concrete entrance ramp and stairs, exterior walls and storefront at portions of ground floor, and roof mounted mechanical equipment. Additional interior alteration work is required on the second floor of ''Building 603''. This work includes demolition of certain interior partitions and ceilings, construction of new partition and ceilings, painting and modifications to existing electrical and HVAC distribution systems.
