Z -- RESTORATION OF HISTORIC GATE HOUSE AND GUARD WALLS AT SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, ILLINOIS Sol 1443-CX-1500-95-004. POC: Donna Kalvels (605) 574-2523. Project consists of the restoration of the gate house and guard walls of the original 1937 entrance to Scott Air Force Base, Illinois located 25 miles east of St Louis, Missouri. The gate house is a small one-story elliptical red brick structure with steel casement windows. A split drive separates the gate house and the red brick and iron fence guard walls which each extend approximately 87 feet along Scott Drive. The base bid work includes but is not limited to: masonry restoration and reconstruction; ornamental metal fence restoration; and roof framing and installation of standing seam metal roof. Additive bid item ``A'' work includes but is not limited to: the construction of new masonry piers and wing walls. All work will be performed under a single contract. Cost range: $25,000-$100,000.
