The Government intends to modify contract DAAD01-93-D-0210 on a sole source basis to add two variations of the existing contract item to the existing contract. The contract was awarded for Record/Reproduce Systems to Ampex Data Systems Corporation, 401 Broadway, Redwood City, California 94063. The basis for the sole source for this addition to the contract is the need to insure compatibility to existing equipment. The Ampex recorders are currently being used for ongoing testing and a data transfer capability must be maintained. See Note 22. (102)
