Ann Argaman, Contract Specialist, or Patrick Williams, Contracting
Officer (301)496-3704. THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT THAT THE NATIONAL
INSTITUTES OF HEALTH UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF 41 USC 253 (C) (1) intends
to negotiate and award a sole source contract to Nuclear Interface to
provide an automated synethesis unit for (''C) methylation. Nuclear
Interface is the only known firm with the capability and expertise to
provide the automated synethesis unit for (''C) methylation. The
following requirements are mandatory for the new automated system: It
must be a closed system with the capability of being sterilized. The
emission of radioactivity must be as low as reasonably acceptable.
Ideally, all gaseous material will be trapped within the system and
allowed to decay. The system must be compact, that is, it must be no
larger than 1.5 ft in each dimension. The synethesis unit must be
computer controlled and operate fully automatic. The synethesis should
be displayed graphically along with key parameters. An automatic
cleaning and purging procedure must be included. All valves must be
able to be controlled manually. Important parameters such as
temperature, pressure, and radioactivity must be recorded, displayed
graphically, and stored permanently. There should be the possibility
for an integrated chromatography system. The synthesis sequence program
should be able to be modified by the user. All responses must be
written and received within 45 calendar days from the published date of
this notice. Oral communication is not acceptable and will not be
