U.S., PA COMMERCE DEPTS. SET DEFENSE DIVERSIFICATION CONFERENCE GOVERNOR RIDGE TO DELIVER KEYNOTE ADDRESS 4/24/95 HERSHEY LODGE AND CONFERENCE CENTER, HERSHEY PA The Commerce Department and the State of Pennsylvania will host a conference April 24 to explore ways in which manufacturers of defense related items in the state could develop new business opportunities in civilian commercial markets in the United States and overseas. The conference, ``Market Diversification for Defense and Commercial Manufacturers'' will be held at the Hershey Lodge and Conference Center in Hershey, PA. The conference will highlight areas of particular interest to the Pennsylvania manufacturing community. The sessions will focus on international markets, state and federal financial assistance, export control law, accessing federal research and development, marketing to the state and federal governments, and manufacturing support. Participants will have an opportunity to meet government officials and to talk with business executives who have overcome numerous obstacles to devlelop successful defense diversification strategies.
