Mitchell at (612) 290-5763 The work consists of, but not limited to, furnishing all plant, labor, material and equipment necessary for the construction of Phase II at Orwell Lake. Work consists of constructing an approximately 55-foot wide sheetpile weir across a small channel and 90-foot earthen bern across another small channel to create two small subimpoundments at Orwell Reservoir near Fergus Falls, MN. Two stop log bays and a catwalk would be part of the sheetpile weir structure, while, the earthen bern would have a 36-inch CMP with half round standpipe/stop log structure. Less than 1,200 CY of cumulative channel excavation would be associated with construction of the structures. Less than 150 CY of cumulative rock erosion protection would be required above and below the structures. Work is to be done in complete accordance with plans and specifications. This procurement is issued unrestricted under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (P.L. 100-656). SIC Code - 1629, the Small Business Size Standard is $17 million. The estimated magnitude of construction in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. This procurement is issued pursuant to a local cooperative agreement (LCA) between the U.S. Government and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources who will share in the funding of this project. Plans and specifications are expected to be available approximately May 9, 1995 with bid opening on or about June 8, 1995. Specifications will be furnished upon written request only, with a payment of non-refundable charge of: half-size drawings with one copy of specification, $15.00; full-size drawings with one copy of specification, $20.00; copy of specification only, $10.00.
